CC2531 USB Evaluatoin Kit Driver problem

What do you mean not enable?  Could you describe which application you communicate with CC2531 dongle?

I tried with smartRF studio7, it shows no devices connected. 

In device manager of win7 it shows 'This device is disabled click enable to enable the device' if i click enable button, still it shows device is disabled. (please see the attached screen shot in my first post)

If you want to use smarRF studio 7, you need to connect your CC2531 dongle with CC debugger or SmartRF05EB.

Now tried with SmartRF packet sniffer, facing the problem. Please help me to solve this.

If you want to use packet sniffer, you need to make sure the FW on your sniffer is for this purpose. If you aren't sure about that, you can program sniffer_fw_cc2531.hex to it first. sniffer_fw_cc2531.hex is located at C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Packet Sniffer\bin\general\firmware after you install packet sniffer.

There could be something wrong with the driver installation. Since it appears as a Cebal Controlled device, it seesm as if the correct FW is programmed to the dongle.

Try to uninstall the driver and install again. Normally the drivers are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Drivers\cebal\win_64bit_x64.

I'm completely new to Zigbee and CC2531, i want to know - can i use cc2531 USB dongle for controlling the smart switch (i have zigbee smart switch) from my PC. or should i need to change the firmware in the cc2531?

I read that " The dongle comes preprogrammed with firmware such that it can be used as a packet sniffer device." can i use it as a Zigbee co-ordinator?

No, you can't make it to act as coordinator since it is programmed with packet sniffer FW. You can download cc2531 znp FW to do that.

I have only CC2531 USB dongle, how can i re-flash to act as a coordinator. can i get support from TI to get them re-flashed?

Yes, you can contact TI to help on it. However, I suppose it is easier to buy a CC debugger and download the FW by yourself.

I don't have a budget to buy cc debugger. Where can i reprogram my cc2531 Zigbee USB dongle to act as coordinator? I'm in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Can any one please provide me a contact details.
