End devices joining a new parent

Would you please describe your test environment and steps more clearly so I can try to help?

I am using a cc2530 end device and a dongle with cc2531 as coordinator.

Both are programmed with zstack 2.4.0-1.4.0.

I am using for my end device GenericApp application.

It works fine but if I erase and reprogam cc2531 dongle, end device does not comunicate anymore. I assume that it cannot join the new network.

I remove end device batteries but it does not solve it.

To get it right, I have to erase and reprogram end device.

You can't erase and reprogram  CC2531 otherwise the NV data is also erased. Then, CC2531 won't have previos network data and that's why your device won't join back.

I thought that my end device, after several attempts to reach its older parent, would do an orphan scan and join the new network (created by cc2531 after being erased and reprogramed).

Am I wrong?

Why my EndDevice which compiled POWER_SAVING and  NV_RESTORE  can be added to other network?
