I am researching the integration of WSN (Z-Stack zigbee) and RFID reading with EPC C1G1.

I am inexperienced in elctronics.  My area is software.

Is there an IC that will provide RFID read hardware functionality and run EPC software and also run Z-Stack.  Or can any one suggest two hardware technologies that may possibly in some way be interfaced to achieve this.

I reaise these are two different deployment modes, but there are reasons to integrate / interwork.

Any help or advice for this newbie to WSN and RFID greatly appreciated.

    Just wanted to re-raise this and perhaps elaberate.

    Perhaps it is not possible to have an IC which supports both of these?  Perhaps an EPC stack is not implemented for any platform that also supports implementations of z-stack.  Perhaps I must interwork two platforms with data transfering between them.

    Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
