Serial communication - CC2530EM + Smarf05EB

Hi all..

I have established 2way communication between 2 Zigbee devices(EM) on 2 SmartRF05EB.

But it is observed that after some time (8-10 mins), serial communication hangs on one of the device.

Both SmartRF05EB are connected to PC. Hardware flow control is disabled.

What could be the cause for such behavior ?...

Check if you keep allocateing memory but never free.

Hi Yikai..

No...its not with memory allocation.

I am using SerialApp project. Can this be because of DMA?

Should I try UART on ISR ?

No, I don't think it is related to DMA. Do you modify anything in source code?

No Yikai...not something that can affect this and I am sure about this.

Now I am testing UART on ISR here. :(

How do you allow auto binding wit coordinator on RESET?

To allow auto binding wit coordinator on RESET, you can send binding request when device receives ZDO_STATE_CHANGE event, which is triggered when device joins network.

1. Which part of the code sends binding request? Can you help with from SerialApp point of view?

2. How can i check how memory allocations are done/ how much mem is freed??

To bind two devices, you can send ZDP_EndDeviceBindReq when user presses a button on device.
