TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW can not be restored?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530, AM1806

hi,

i use AM1806 to control CC2530 ZNP with SPI interface, and at the same time 7 devices do data transceiver test. After a while one of these devices will fail to send data and return status TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW, then this fail will always exist and can not return to normal state. pls help me.

  • Hi Luis,

TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW is normally returned when data frame cannot be queued. Can you please explain your test setup in more detail ? thanks,

    Saurabh

  • Hi Saurabh,

    Below is our test setup.

There're total eight Zigbee devices. Each of them is configued as a Router.

One of the device is used as a Zigbee Central Controller, which is used to collect the data sent from the

    other seven Zigbee devices.

The seven Zigbee devices keep on sending messages to the Central Controller.

Occasionally we found that some of the devices met with "Send Failed" problem.

TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW is returned from MAC layer.

It's very strange that some of the devices can recover from the "TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW" state automatically

after a while, but some devices always stay in " "TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW" state.

Can you help to solve this problem?

    Thanks,

    Luis

  • Hi Saurabh,

In our test, there’re total eight Zigbee devices, each of them is configured as a Router.

One of them is used as a Central Controller, which collects all the data sent from the other seven Zigbee devices.

The seven Zigbee devices keep on sending the data to the Central Controller. Occasionally we found that some of the Zigbee devices met with the “Send Failed” problem. The “TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW”  message was indicated by the MAC layer.

What makes us very confused is that some devices can recover from the “TRANSACTION_OVERFLOW” state after a while, and othes aways can not recover from it.  Once the Zigbee device can not recover,  it can not send message any more.

Can you help us to solve this problem?

     Thanks,

    Luis
