Hi,
What firmware are you running in the CC2531 USB dongle?
If you are running a firmware that has usb to serial such as the ZNP firmware, then the dongle should be recognized by AppleUSBCDC driver and you shouldn't need to install any extra drivers.
If you are running a sniffer firmware, unfortunately there is no drivers for Mac OSX.
Ok, when I plug my usb dongle to my Mac I have: TI CC2531 USB CDC in information about system.
I use my usb dongle as zigbee coordinator and I want use it with zigbee4java. On windows computers I use this code:
ZigBeeConsole.main(new String[]{
"COM5", "11", "4954", "true"
});
where COM5 is my zigbee coordinator. So how use the same code on Mac OS X? I mean what I need to put in COM field?
When you plug in the USB dongle to your Mac computer it should be recognized automatically and a new device should appear in the /dev/ folder, the device name should be tty.usbmodemfaXXX where "XXX" is a number, for example tty.usbmodemfa131.
Unfortunately we are not aware of any zigbee4java specifics since it is not one of our projects. I suggest to look for a zigbee4java forum to get proper support on any zigbee4java related questions.
