Hi,

Can anyone please let me know, if Voice transmission over ZigBee is possible. If so, TI has a readily available ZigBee module? What is the maximum distance that a TI ZigBee module can support.

    According to my experience, It is almost impossible to live streaming voice over Zigbee.

    Can u pls suggest any other wireless technology that operates in license free band in india, for this application.

    We need a range of 4KM.

    Hi,

    with the multi-hop and low data rate nature of ZigBee, I wouldn't recommend to stream audio over that wireless link.

    TI has a wireless audio solution for CD-link audio quality wireless streaming

    This is working in the worldwide ISM 2.4 Ghz band so it does not require licensing in India.

    However, range of 2.Ghz radio wave, even considering a front-end, is below 4 Km.

    You would have to select a subGhz device, with a proprietary protocol on top.

    Please see below a transceiver who may be suitable for your needs.
