Is CC2538 the best kit to do ZHA and ZLL?
The CC2538DK has
This means you can have one CC2538 acts as coordinator and another one as router or end device. Basically, it is OK for ZHA and ZLL.
But, what if I need a ZR, Zenddevice and Zcoordinator at a time?
Will that USB Dongle provided in this kit be able to perform as a ZigBee Coordinator???
Yes, CC2530 USB dongle can be used as coordinator. However, you need to buy CC Debugger to program it because it is preprogrammed with sniffer FW.
it's given CC2531 as USB dongler.
I am an m.tech student. I thought of implementing ZHA and ZLL. I thought of procuring CC2538. Can I get a demo for ZHA and ZLL??
You can donwload Z-Stack Home 1.2.1 and it includes lots of ZHA examples. As for ZLL examples, you can donwload Z-STACK-LIGHTING 1.0.2 from the same link.
Is there any demo videos ??
I went through the data sheet of cc2538 and it is given 512-kB, 256-kB or 128-kB In-System- Programmable Flash. So how it is configured?
It is also given that it Supports Dual ZigBee Application Profiles. How???
1. I know this one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9pViAkoMWg but it doesn't show much info.
2. It is configured in Linker configuration file for CC2538 (cc2538.icf)
3. Basically, it is doable but I suggest you can get familiar with one application profile first.
What do you mean the link for ZHA application profile? If you mean HA spec, you can refer to https://docs.zigbee.org/zigbee-docs/dcn/07/docs-07-5367-02-0afg-home-automation-profile-for-public-download.pdf
yeah.
If CC2538dk is providing CC2538SF53 then it is enough for me.
In
http://www.ti.com/product/CC2538/samplebuy
it is displayed about CC2538SF53RTQT
what is that?
What difference does this make from buying from TI given in the link below??
http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2538dk
I just want a CC2538 kit for implementing ZLL ,ZHA and some other profiles which are mentioned in the datasheet of CC2538.
Please provide necessary guidance for the procurement of the equipments!!!!
CC2538SF53RTQT is a soc. If you need a kit to implement ZLL and ZHA, you should use CC2538DK.
Which debugger is needed to reprogram CC2531 so as to make it work as a ZigBee co-ordinator?
Is there any customize and buy option, like I don't want this CC2531 sniffer device instead I want the cc2531 to work as ZigBee Coordinator inside the CC2538 dkk???
what option???
from where can I get binaries (.bin) for developing ZHA and ZLL?
Other than the CC2538 kit, what else is neeed for implementing the profiles (hardware/software) ??
There is no prebuild binary for ZHA and ZLL. Other than the CC2538 kit, you have to download Z-Stack and build the binary using IAR by yourself.
I want to flash some other binaries to that CC2538 module, Is there a need of other hardware/software??
I want to flash some other binaries to that CC2538 module, Is there a need of other hardware/software??
cables??
To flash binary into CC2538, you have to use Flash Programmer 2(SW) and SmartRF06EB (HW).
how to debug the software ?
Do I need to purchase JTAG?
Any cables required?
Will it be available inside the CC2538dk?
Ok I understood.
But is that USB enabled.
Do I need to purchase some cables like 20 pin ARM JTAG Header???
Yes, it is USB enabled. You don't have to purchase any extra cables. They are all included in CC2538DK.
