How the devices provided inside the CC2538 development kit act as a ZRouter, Zcoordinator and Zend device ?

The CC2538DK has

2 x SmartRF06 Evaluation Boards
2 x CC2538 Evaluation Modules
1 x CC2531 USB Dongle (for packet sniffing)

This means you can have one CC2538 acts as coordinator and another one as router or end device. Basically, it is OK for ZHA and ZLL.

But, what if I need a ZR, Zenddevice and Zcoordinator at a time?

Will that USB Dongle provided in this kit be able to perform as a ZigBee Coordinator???

Yes, CC2530 USB dongle can be used as coordinator. However, you need to buy CC Debugger to program it because it is preprogrammed with sniffer FW.

it's given CC2531 as USB dongler.

I am an m.tech student. I thought of implementing ZHA and ZLL. I thought of procuring CC2538. Can I get a demo for ZHA and ZLL??

You can donwload Z-Stack Home 1.2.1 and it includes lots of ZHA examples. As for ZLL examples, you can donwload Z-STACK-LIGHTING 1.0.2 from the same link.

Is there any demo videos ??

I went through the data sheet of cc2538 and it is given 512-kB, 256-kB or 128-kB In-System- Programmable Flash. So how it is configured?

It is also given that it Supports Dual ZigBee Application Profiles. How???

1. I know this one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9pViAkoMWg but it doesn't show much info.

2. It is configured in Linker configuration file for CC2538 (cc2538.icf)

3. Basically, it is doable but I suggest you can get familiar with one application profile first.

I went through cc2538 data sheet and I came to know there are so many device types. But it is not mentioned whether it is CC2538SF53 or CC2538SF23. can you please give me the details of the CC2538 kit and its exact flash size and cost?

CC2538DK uses CC2538SF53 so the flash size is 512KB. As for the price, you can refer to http://www.ti.com/product/CC2538/samplebuy

CC2538SF53RTQT is a soc. If you need a kit to implement ZLL and ZHA, you should use CC2538DK.

If you don't have to use CC2538, CC2530ZDK is another option for you.

There is no prebuild binary for ZHA and ZLL. Other than the CC2538 kit, you have to download Z-Stack and build the binary using IAR by yourself.

To flash binary into CC2538, you have to use Flash Programmer 2(SW) and SmartRF06EB (HW).

You don't have to purchase JTAG. SmartRF06EB can act as debugger and it is included in CC2538DK. All cables are included in CC2538DK too.

Yes, it is USB enabled. You don't have to purchase any extra cables. They are all included in CC2538DK.
