Hi,

I see a new initiative http://www.threadgroup.org/Home.aspx

How does it compare to 6LowPAN and can it be run on TI 802.15.4 transceivers?

Will it be supported by TI?

This might be in TI roadmap however TI employee can't reveal roadmap on public forum. I would suggest you contact TI local representative for this information.

Hi,

6LoWPAN is part of thread, since 6LoWPAN is an adaptation layer that makes it possible to use IPv6 over e.g. IEEE802.15.4 and thread uses among other things UDP (which is part of the IP stack).

Thread is a very interesting initiative and TI follow with great interest.
