Hi,

Fri Oct 10, 2014 10:51:59: Fatal error: Failed to connect to the XDS100/200/ICDI emulator (connect ICEPick)...  (Error -230 @ 0x0) The measured lengths of the JTAG IR and DR scan-paths are invalid. This indicates that an
error exists in the link-delay or scan-path. (Emulation package 5.1.450.0)     Session aborted!

is it any driver problem or Hardware isssue..Pls help me how can i fix this issue.

  • Hi Praba,

Assuming the CC2538EM board is not broken, this issue is probably due to a bad connection between the CC238EM daughter board to the SmartRF06 board. It does not seem to be a driver issue. I suggest you to detach the CC2538EM from the SmartRF06, and then reattach them, making sure the connection is secured. Please do this while the power to the board is switched off. If this does not work, the CC2538EM may be fauly, but I would suggest you try to restart your PC, re-install IAR IDE (use the version that is advertised in the release notes of the Z-Stack version you are using), etc.

I experimented with it on my setup, and got exactly the same error message when I used a SmartRF06 without any EM board. I then connected a CC2538EM to the SmartRF06 board, turn it on and retried programming, and it worked as it should. I did not have to restart the IAR IDE or any other software.

    Best regards,

    OD
