Greetings,

I wanted to ask that how do I use this kit in BALUN mode only (range-extender not mounted)? How L21 & L41 are going to be mounted? The schematic symbol shows a 3 pad bead. Are the inductors going to be mounted diagonally in the layout? Please see the attachment of the Layout and help me with the problem.

    If I understand you correctly you want to use the CC2530+CC2591 as CC2530 only. The CC2591 has a differential input and to use CC2530 stand alone you would need a diff to single structure which you don't have space for.

    Actually I want to know the function of L21 & L41 shown in the above comment. Why these components have tri pad? How is the BALUN and Range Extender are connected to the CC2530?

    To connect the CC2530 output to the CC2591 input by fitting L21/ L41 between 3 and 2 (L21) and 1 and 2 (L41). U3 is added to the design to be able to connect the CC2591 input by using the P4 SMA connector you may use L21 between pad 1 and 2 and L41 between 2 and 3.

    If you want to connect CC2530 to CC2591 U3 is not in use.
