I'd gone through this document and I want something which explains how processes are handled by the OS and other details?

There are some information in Chapter 2 of Z-Stack Home Developer's Guide.pdf. You can also check OS abstraction layer Application Programming Interface. Doing some debug trace into the example like SampleLight would be helpful to understand it well.
