external sensor to cc2530dk !!

all the pins from P0.0 to P0.7 are giving a value of 3.3v always .. how can i be able to connect an external sensor when all of the adc pins are giving high value ??

Do you config them to GPO and output high by default? Anyway, use API HalAdcRead() will config ADC pin to peripheral input so you can wire sensor output into ADC pin directly.

yes sir !!! i did do but all the pins are showing 3.3v as default and when i connect the sensors with the pins it is not responding .
i even connected p0.2 to the adc which is giving 127 which is the high value corresponding to 3.3v sir ...

Do you use voltage meter to check the real input voltage of P0.2?

That means there is something wrong with your HW. If you disconnect sensor output to ADC pin, does it still stick to 3.2V?

would you please specify what to do in more detailed manner ??

1. Use IAR to Download and Debug.
2. Press F5 to run your application.
3. When you see ADC reading from UART, go to debug menu and press "Stop Debugging".
4. Add P0SEL, P0DIR and P0 to watch and check those values.

the 4th point . what does it suggests sir ??
i already fixed the values like
P0DIR = 0X00;
P0SEL = 0X00;

I suspect there is someone set the pin to GPO accidentally so you always get 3.2V. So, I suggest you debug and stop the program to check those register values.

in the uart initialization itself i configured the register P0SEl = 0x3c
in the main pgm also i added like P0sel = 0xff
so that port must have been configured into pheripheral i/o mode .

I suggest you to check them when your application is running since it might be changed accidentally.

i nearly got it sir !! instead of P0SEl = 0x3c , P0sel = 0xff
i used P0SEl |= 0x3c , P0sel |= 0xff
and P0.1 is giving 0v and it is getting the input from the external sensor !!
