SmartRF06 LCD problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK

Dear,

I have SmartRF06 Evaluation Board, I use it for developing. The problem is that The LCD not displaying anything. Last time i used it I was burning a code does not support LCD, but this time when I tried to use another code, which support the LCD, it does not display anything, even though I use a ready-made .bin file which is tested before. Also, please note that the LEDs work fine as they should regarding to the program

  • Do you try to use SampleLight in Z-Stack Home to see if LCD works?
  • Dear YK Chen,

    Thanks for your reply.

It does work with one of my kits, but not with the other one.
I think the other one may have a hardware problem with the LCD itself.

I just wonder, why the LCD does not work with the pre-complied .bin files for 6LoWPAN, suggested by TI-Wiki in this link: https://github.com/thingsquare/hardware/tree/master/ti/cc2538dk/firmware.

    Another question:
Do you know how could I get a new LCD for the kit?

    Best regards,
    Mohammad Harraz
  • Have you checked for poor connection to the display? Sometimes the display doesn't have proper connection, try to move the display a bit. You could also try to swap LCD between the two kits you have.
