Hi I want to use cc2531 as a simple Transceiver which transmits messages from a msp430.

I am using emk and cc debugger for programming.

But I am not getting what header files do i include in the program.. I used many of them related to 8051, but program is not compiling. I am new to cc2531,can somebody please help me with this..

I am configuring it to use option 1 uart 0, when I hit rebuild all, it shows error as P1Sel not declared.. But I feel it should be there in header file.. Please suggest, thankyou

You can use ioCC2530.h which is located at C:\Program Files\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.4\8051\inc

Thank you sir, but Will this header be enough for everything, I mean uart mapping, baudrate setting, initialization of protocol and rx TX processing..

Because I got some more same kind of errors..

I got errors especially in baud rate setting code, namely CLKCON, SLEEP undefined..

If u could send me an example code it would be of a great help for me sir..

I have copied the programs from swra222b for:

1. Mapping the uart to the SoC I/O

2. Initializing the UART Baud rate generator

3. Allocating UART Buffers and Protocol Setup Descriptor

4. Initializing the UART protocol

5. UART TX and Rx processing using UART polling..

Figures 3,11,12,13,14,15..

Can I directly use RF_modem. Hex for the purpose.?

I have CC2531 USB dongle, I .e, EMK, I am using it just as a Transceiver. I am using it in a kit, connecting P0.2 and P0.3 of CC2531 to TX and Rx of Msp430g2553.. So CC2531 JUST needs to transmit whatever it gets serially from msp430.

So I am programming it.. I'm asking can I use RF_modem. Hex instead for this purpose.

Yes, exactly.. Zigbee protocol.. With option 1, Uart 0 of CC2531, I.e, P0.2-RX, P0.3-TX.. What should I do and which option and which uart# should I use if I can use RF_modem. Hex..

Since you want to use Zigbee protocol, you suppose to use ZNP image.

If you install Z-Stack Home 1.2.1, you can try CC2530ZNP-SB.hex under C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.1\Projects\zstack\ZNP\CC253x\bin folder. If it doesn't work for you, I think you have to revise and build the cc2530 project under C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.1\Projects\zstack\ZNP\CC253x.

If I use CC2530ZNP-SB.hex under C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.1\Projects\zstack\ZNP\CC253x\bin folder, which pins should I connect to msp430g2553, I mean to ask that whether I can use P0.2 and P0.3 as RX & TX or should I use some other pins??

If I remember correct, CC2530ZNP-SB.hex use P0.2 and P0.3 as RX and TX.
