HI All,

I have just received CC2531 EMK and was looking to integrate it into a system running 2.6.32 RHEL on powerpc. I looking for the device driver for the USB dongle after which I plan to integrated it with Z-Stack on the system. Right now the USB dongle info is seen in "/proc/bus/usb/devices" but under "/dev" its get added a "1-1" and not as a new serial or usb device.

If you run ZNP on CC2531EMK, it use CDC-ACM driver.

Thanks for your reply. Can you provide details of which ZNP can be integrated to get the CC2531 detected.

If you install Z-Stack Home 1.2.1, you will have ZNP hex files under C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.1\Projects\zstack\ZAP\ZNP-HexFiles

Hi Yikai,

Can the fimrware upgrade be done only via the smart TI board. Is there a easier way to upgrade the Fimware.

What do you mean smart TI board? Do you mean SmartRF05EB?

Yes, is there any other way to download the fimrware onto the dongle?

You can use CC debugger too.

I have got the CC debugger and connected it to CC2531 , but the windows machine I am using to upgrade the firmware using SmartRF Flash programmer does not recognize the device. Whereas the Packet Sniffer Application is able to detect the device and in the device manager it shows up as Cebal Controlled device. Do i need to change any settings on SmartRF to detect the device?
