Where to get CC2531 OTA dongle firmware?

I want to use the OtaServer (v2.0.3) application which comes with Z-Stack to upgrade devices over-the-air.

It needs a dongle to have the "OtaDongle" firmware. I have a CC2531 USB dongle - where can I get the "OtaDongle" firmware hex file?

I would be interested in both the Coordinator and the Router versions.

If it needs compiling of a standard project - I have no up-to-date IAR license, would someone be so kind to compile it for me and post the hex files?

As I know, OTA dongle project is for SmartRF05EB+CC2530EM.

Is it easy to make it CC2531 compatible (ie. add the USB layer)? (how?)

No, it won't be easy. If you have SmartRF06EB+CC2538EM, it will work too.

I successfully added the USB layer to the dongle. I started from the CC2531 Generic App and added the application source files from the dongle project and adapted some configs. It compiles and runs perfectly.

As I only have an IAR for Z-Stack 2.5.1a, I cannot build for the latest app. My version works with the OtaConsole from 2.5.1a, but not with the OtaServer (v2.x.x). The problem I have now, is that the OTA "image notify" is sent with the SE profile ID, instead of my expected HA (probably because HA did not specify OTA back then). And my device seems to not answer to it.

To support OTA in HA profile, I guess I need the latest version (from Z-Stack Home 1.2.x)

Mr Chen (or somebody else), would you be so kind to help me compile a similar project based on the latest Z-Stack Home?

You can download evaluation versio of IAR from www.iar.com/.../ti-wireless

Thanks I'll check the evaluation version of IAR.
Unfortunately, it seems Z-Stack Home has no longer a generic project for CC2531, where the USB layer is already included and configured. This will make porting the dongle code to the CC2531 somewhat more difficult.
Do you know where I could find such a generic project with USB or instructions on how to replace the UART comm with USB comm?

(Could maybe TI give us a hand here?)

If you mean to find GenericApp project, you have to download Z-STACK-MESH and it is in example folder.

Thanks for the reference to Z-Stack Mesh. I'll look into that.
In the meantime, in the 2.5.1a code, I have found that you can define "OTA_HA" (compiler preprocessor) so that the dongle then sends the requests with the HA profile (instead of SE). This works but I already encountered the next problem...

My device is sending OTA "Image Block Requests" with the (no so) new (2012) BlockRequestDelay. This is answered with a "Malformed Command" by the OTAConsole, supposedly because the code in 2.5.1a does not support that optional frame field.

Will have to patch the code...
