Z-stack Home 1.2.2 HA profile Light Toggling

Hi Yikai,
I had programmed my device with light project in home1.2.2 with configuration set to end device. In sniffer i can't see any beacon packet. Same hardware i had programmed with 2.5.0 code and its sending beacon packets and getting associated. I had tested by enabling and disabling TC_LINKKEY_JOIN and SECURE=1. Is there any configuration that need to be set for configuring device as end device like using switch press or something like that?

don't know how but now the end device is sending beacon but its not getting associated. again and again short address is getting assigned. what to do?
1) What they have introduced new thing ZCL_EZMODE? Do i need to make any key press or something to bind it?
2) do i need to disable HOLD_AUTO_START now also?

As i had told before, I don't have SmartRF05EB and i want to test on my own hardware. i have made interrupt enabled using key press which processes SW2 at ZC. Do i need to make any changes at zed? I have disabled HOLD_AUTO_START and now short address is getting assigned only once.

I had mapped sw2 at ZED also. Now led is getting toggled with switch press at ZC but i am finding two things.
1)it stops toggling after sometimes(randomly after 6-12 press). If i reset zed then again it starts toggling.
2)if i press sw2 at zed then led doesn't toggles at all. for what purpose sw2 press is needed at zed?

i had checked in sniffer. when switch is pressed at ZC then data packets get transmitted over the air but led doesn't toggles. I will try to debug this problem.

Is there a MAC ack from ZED?

Is there any way by which we can confirm that ZED has associated with ZC like any flag that would get set or reset when devices associate together. I can see in sniffer that ZED doesn't send beacon. If this means that ZED has got associated then it should toggle.

When i you want me to check for MAC ack from ZED during association or after ZC sends toggle command to ZED?

From your sniffer log, ZED joins ZC without any problem. I also see your ZED sends an unknown message every second. I doubt this is what you mean toggle command but it doesn't follow ZCL toggle command, right?

If zed joins with zc then is there problem in sending command from zc? Will continue tomorrow.

Yes, I think the problem is what your ZC sends. Do you use ZCL toggle command to toggle LED?

I am calling function zclGeneral_SendOnOff_CmdToggle( SAMPLESW_ENDPOINT, &zclSampleSw_DstAddr, FALSE, 0 ); to toggle led in SW2 press.

But I don't see the command is send out. What do you set in zclSampleSw_DstAddr?

Before that, can you please tell me how key gets scanned using interrupt. I don't know the flow how key event is set. either of the two hal isr function for port0 and port1 calls halProcessKeyInterrupt(); fn where it will check interrupt occured for P0.1 or P2.0 and it will make valid as true in either of two port interrupts. This will in turn start timer to set HAL_KEY_EVENT. Up to here i am able to understand. I can see that keys value is assigned in HalKeyPoll() and then its checked in zclSampleSw_HandleKeys() which key is pressed(like using if ( keys & HAL_KEY_SW_2)). Based on the key press it will process the functions defined.
I am not able to understand how timer will assign "keys" value which key has been pressed because we are not passing any parameter to the timer function. Does keys value get assigned only using polling function where it will be poll for which key has been pressed. If its so then what's use of setting HAL_KEY_EVENT using interrupt?
I am asking these because i want to use two different switches one for toggling and other for SW2. now i am sending toggling command in SW2 key press itself.

Extremely sorry for using 0xff as broadcast address. It was completely out of my mind. any way i had used 0xffff as broadcast address and tried to debug if control reaches in zclSampleLight_OnOffCB(). But its not reaching in this function and hence led is not toggling.

2) I know that in halProcessKeyInterrupt() i can know interrupt came from which port pin but what next? How can i process this port pin. Like i have four switches connected to port P0.1-SW1,P0.2-SW2,P0.3-SW3,P0.4-SW4. All these ports pins i have configured as interrupt and i am reading which switch is pressed in halProcessKeyInterrupt() based on the interrupt flag bit set for that port 0. Now i want that if i press SW1(P0.1) then ( keys & HAL_KEY_SW_1 ) in zclSampleLight_HandleKeys( ) should be processed similarly if i press SW2(P0.2) then ( keys & HAL_KEY_SW_2 ) in zclSampleLight_HandleKeys( ) should be processed. like wise for SW3 and SW4 also. In present code if any such key is pressed then timer is started to set hal key event but to process like as i explained(i mean assigning keys value like keys= HAL_KEY_SW_1) what i need to do in halProcessKeyInterrupt()

ok i will modify to unicast transmission and test if it works. This HalKeyPoll(void) will be called automatically or i need to call by changing and passing its void parameter with uint8 keys value corresponding to key press?

Here itself i am not able to understand. if HalKeyPoll will be called automatically then how it will assign value to keys variable based on which key has been pressed i.e either of SW1-SW4 may be pressed. How HalKeyPoll function will know which key has been pressed because we are not passing any parameter to HalKeyPoll in halProcessKeyInterrupt for which key has been pressed

Yes, I can see ZC sends toggle command to ZED in your sniffer log.

I don't know more but are you sure command which is sent is toggle command only. i am asking this because in z-stack2.5.0 the APS payload was very small(3-4 bytes) but in this stack its too large and also payload values are different in different times toggle command sent. There may be possibility that in this stack payload length be longer in comparision to previous stack. I had tried to debug by placing breakpoint in zclSampleLight_OnOffCB() but control is not reaching in this function. Which other place i should check to verify if any zed has received any data or not.
2)Which project or function i should use for sending text like hello world. With this i can confirm whether its sending any data or not.

1. What is your ZED based on? SampleLight?
2. You can download Z-Stack Mesh and there is GenericApp which shows you how to send "Hello World".

ya. ZED is sample light and zc is sample switch.
I am asking in this stack how to send data. can i use this zb_SendDataRequest(destination, command, len, &pBuf[8], handle, txOption, radius); if yes then which function i will receive the data.

1)Had you checked whether light toggle command was getting sent in sniffer log? If its getting sent then i need to debug at ZED why its not receiving it.
2)What's problem in using zb_SendDataRequest in HA profile? You had suggested to someone else also not to use this fn. For my application i was using this function only in 2.5.0 and that time you had suggested to use it if i remember correct.

So in place which Api and MT command should i use for sending ZCL command in my application?

In AF_DataRequest MT command there is no any field for ZCL command. Like for ON and OFF we have command like 0x01 and 0x00 respectively so where this command needs to be set in AF_DataRequest. Do i need to set these commands in data field?

I have tried to understand this ZCL spec(ZigBee Cluster Library Document 075123r02ZB) several times but failed. its too difficult and complicated to understand. There is no uniformity like MT commands for different tasks. Before you had told that there is no need to have IN and OUT cluster list of ZED at ZC but in AF_DataRequest, clusterid field needs to be set.
1)If coordinator will not have list of cluster for different ZED then how data request can be made from ZC to ZED
2)For sensors we can specify cluster but what will be cluster for coordinator?
I don't know whether i will be able to follow ZCL spec or not because not only sending data request but processing received data is also too much complicated due to lack of uniformity as we can find in sending different MT commands.

I had tried to debug for receiving led toggle command. case ZCL_INCOMING_MSG: of zclSampleLight_event_loop() fn is not processed hence led toggling callback is not getting processed. what i need to do next?
