problem with ti sample applications!

I'm using TI sample applications for my project with CC2538DK. When i setup light az Coordinator and Switch as ED there is no problem but ...

when using light as ED and Switch as Coordinator ,they join the network but light don't process On/Off zcl command from SW.

Did you know where is problem ?

Do you try to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to see if SampleLight joins SampleSwitch and binding correctly?

I'm using Dev KIt.it has lcd and led for debugging. I see on the lcd that light join the network and green led is On.
another point is that when i setup SW as coordinator and light as router , program works properly.

Just test light as ED and Switch as Coordinator. I see the same problem. I suggest you can use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check the problem.

Hi Farhad,

I just tested the same and it works fine on my setup. Please make sure you are using the latest Z-Stack Home (1.2.2), and that you clear the flash memory of the CC2538 before programming (from IAR, select Project-->Download-->Erase memory).

Please see the two attached Ubiqua logs, one for the original configuration (Light as Coordinator, Switch as End Device), and one for the alternative configuration (Light as End Device, Switch as Coordinator) - from the logs you can see that in both configurations, the lights responds successfully for the ON/OFF commands. I also verified that the LED on the light setup turns on and off accordingly.

Just try it with the same configuration and it works fine now.

Ok , I got the answer .

At ED side ( light) i was changed two configuration :

1- i removed HOLD_AUTO_START option

2- and i used groupcast addressing!

I change RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON compile option to TRUE at ED side and now everything working properly.

do you know what is RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON exactly ?

RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON will make the receiver on end device always turned on.

Depending on "Power Management For The CC2538" document, this option will work if power_saving option was included.
so when power_saving is off , this option must not have any effect . In my project i dont use power saving for ED,but when this option is FALSE,I have problem for receiving commands!!!!

POWER_SAVING is nothing to do with receiving. It only make MCU goes to PM2 tosa e energy.

okey , let me explain my question in another way.
what happen when RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON=FALSE ? How can i get commands in this situation at ED side ?

If you set RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON=FALSE, you have to enable NWK_AUTO_POLL and set POLL_RATE to get commands on ZED.
