coordinator failure in network

Hi Ti

let us say we formed a network with one coordinator and couple of routers and couple of end devices.please let me know when coordinator is switched off whether remaining devices can communicate with out a coordinator?

If there is Zigbee router in radio coverage, the remaining devices can still communicate without coordinator.

You have to implement APS ack I your application otherwise your devices won't know message is not delivered to destination.

If the remaining devices also send message to coordinator and implement APS ack, they would know ZC is off.

all devices in the network knows the failure status information of coordinator.now start a new coordinator with different PAN id then the router and end devices in the previous network will join with this new coordinator or not?

No, they won't join new ZC. Unless you don't enable NV_RESTORE and ZR/ZED does reset when they detect coordinator disappeared.

If you enable NV_RESTORE, ZC/ZR/ZED would stick to original Zigbee network and won't budge.

ZR/ZED save which information to differentiate the original or newer ZC if enable NV_RESTORE, orinal ZC's IEEE address?

There are lots of information stored, such as PANID, ... But it won't store ZC's IEEE ADDRESS.
