Compatibility between ZNP 2.5 and Mesh 1.0 Z-Stack

I am using ZNP profile in the Z-stack 2.5 version (from cc2530znp mini-kit)  for a large network (over 200 nodes). Now I want use only the cc2530 (or the newest CC2630) but the 2.5 version is old.
Can I use the new Mesh 1.0 with the old 2.5 version ? Is supported ?

Mesh Z-Stack is also on ZigBee PRO 2012, but why the Mesh is over 400 nodes and the Home Stack is up to 500 ?
