Dear all,

I am working on this small device which is powered up using Henlv AC-to-DC PSU.

I notice that the CC2530 modules will auto-RESET if we are doing fast I/O port on/off. What might have cause this problem?

What we have tried:

1. We have tried changing capacitor at the RESET Pin to bigger cap and also added series resistors to reduce noise - no improvement.

2. We notice our circuit is drawing 446uA from the P0.5 and P0.1, we add a resistor to both pin to reduce current drawn to less than 4mA - still no improvement.

Need help and advice. Thanks.

If you disconnect IO of CC2530 with Henlv AC-to-DC PSU and do fast IO on/off test, do you still see CC2530 reset?

No. The CC2530 do not reset if the IO are not connected.

Try to keep IO connected but using power supply to give power to your CC2530. See if CC2530 reset in this case.

I disconnected all the load and it works fine. My CC2530 is used for Zigbee Lighting Switch design.
We are connecting it to 1 Fluorescent Lamb with Starter and Choke (conventional, NOT electronic choke).

If the lamp are disconnected, the switch is operating properly and fast. Once the lamp is connected, it will intermittently RESET while we are On/off it at fast rate.
