Compile/Build issue for CC2531 ZLL Zlight2 IAR from SampleLight Project

Hi,

I am getting the below error when I am trying to build the "SampleLight" Project for ZLL Zlight2 for CC2531 Evaluation Kit:

Error[e46]: Undefined external "?V1" referred in AF ( C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Lighting 1.0.2\Projects\zstack\ZLL\SampleApp\CC253x\EndDeviceEB\Obj\AF.r51

My IAR Details are:

IAR Assembler for 8051
8.30.1.41636 (8.30.1.41636)

IAR C/C++ Compiler for 8051
8.30.1.41636 (8.30.1.41636)

Can you please let me know if I am missing anything.

By searching online, I got the below link:

It has a chipcon_cstartup.s51 file, which it asks to replace with the existing chipcon_cstartup.s51 file.

I tried to diff and I saw that the new file has 8 Virtual Registers mentioned. So is it safe to replace the above mentioned file ?

I replaced the above file, and changed the "Number of Virtual Registers" to "8". The code got compiled, but I need some confirmation before I flash the code in the Light2 HW.

Yes, this is correct step to work around this issue. The alternative is to download IAR EW8.20 from www.iar.com/.../ti-wireless

Hi YiKai Chen,

Thank you for the confirmation.

I am able to flash the SampleLight code to the Zlight2 HW.

And I was also able to Touch Link the Remote with the Zlight2.

But then, I re-flashed the Zlight2 HW, and the Remote started to make "beep" continuously. I removed the battery from the remote, twice and then it stopped making the beep. But now the problem is, that the remote is not able to Touch Link with any of the Zlight2 HW. So can you please let me know if I need to re-flash the Remote with its Hex files supplied in the Z-Stack from TI ?
