Hi Ti

I want to develop a zigbee module using the cc2538 chip set.in the process of developing i am facing below problems in the schematic.

1.What VDD_EB indicates in the schematics?

2.if i use USB as supply for the cc2538 chip then 

which output is connected to the pins 10,15,24,33,36,39,40,41,43..?

3.in the power supply selector pin4 is not connected to any terminal then how can you differentiate the both supplies(i.e DVDD_USB or VDD)

4.please attach the cc2538 EVM image with full of resolution?

    Hello,

    Assuming that you are referring to CC2538 EM reference design, 

    1. VDD_EB refers to regulated external power supply for CC2538. 

    2. Power supply connector (P5) can be used to select between USB supply (DVDD_USB) and external regulated supply (VDD_EB) by shorting pins 1-3 or 1-2 respectively, to provide power supply for CC2538. 

    3. P5 is a 2 rows 4 pin header that can be configured as needed using jumpers for the functionality as described in (2). Pin 4 on P5 is not needed. 

    4. Images of CC2538 EM can be found on product page (along with the design files). Best way to visualize the PCB during design  is to use the gerber files.

    Thanks for your reply.

    i have some more doubts.i want to clarify that.

    1.i want to use only DVDD_USB not use VDD_EB. can i connect DVDD_USB is directly connect to the above mentioned pins  in cc2538?

    2.is capacitors are required at above mentioned(previous post 2 question) pins if i use DVDD_USB? 

    3.we can use power extender cc2591 or cc2592 for cc2538.which one is better?
