CC2650 Zigbee Development Kit - Door Lock Controller Sample Code not working - Help Needed

Please press SW1 in DoorLock Controller.
Then DoorLock display Door Locked/Unlocked to toggle.
Refer 3.2.2 Sample SampleDoorLock, SampleDoorLockController page 24 at Z-Stack Home Sample Application User's Guide.

Based on your input, I went through the Zstack HA user guide.
Yes it says cc2650 can only support end device configuration.

I do not intend to make my own coordinator. I prefer to have a readily available and independent coordinator.

So i am planning to buy a coordinator device. However i am not sure how to configure that to work with TI Zstack Door Lock sample code.
Also is it possible to use third party coordinator along with TI door lock application ?

Any suggestion which may be the easiest way to get a coordinator for my purpose ? I just want to concentrate on end device code.

I would suggest you to buy CC2530DK or CC2538DK to act as coordinator.

I tried this. But the door lock status does not change.
As per the user guide, we need to pair the devices by pressing SW2 initially.
I tried and pairing does not succeed. It says EZmode - Timeout.

One more query - As Chen as suggested, is a seperate Coordinator required for this application to work on CC2650 ?
It seems like it is required. Anyone able to get this working as it is with only two boards of CC2650 dev kit ?

From your descriptions, I am sure that the problem is no coordinator in your test and you have to setup coordinator in your test. You can use CC2650 in ZAP+ZNP mode to make it act as coordinator.

You can refer to Z-Stack ZNP Interface Specification in C:\Texas Instruments\Z-Stack Home 1.2.2.42930\Documents\API if you install Z-Stack Home 1.2.2.

I need some more guidance.
I have the ZNP project for IAR, DoorLock project for IAR and DoorLockController project for IAR.

I do not know what you mean by ZAP+ZNP.
I tried flashing DoorLock project into one cc2650 board and
for the second CC2650 board i flashed the other two codes (DLController first and then ZNP next).

Am i doing right or is there a much more involved procedure.

I am planning to buy just one more CC2650 Eval Module (not the entire kit).
Then use the existing kit as XDS programmer to flash the coordinator code.
Then have my own base board to just supply power to the above module.

This way i will have two original CC2650 boards acting as Dlock and DLcontroller and only CC2650 EVmodule acting as coordinator.

Will this idea work ? or am I again missing something ?
Also if i buy CC2538 EVal module ONLY to act as coordinator, can I use CC2650 base board to flash the code ?
Just need second opinion to take final call.

it is not easy for a newbie to use ZAP+ZNP. If it is possible, I suggest you to buy CC2538DK.
