ZigBee HA Gateway (CC2531 & BBB) + USB Hub Not Working

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2531

Hi,

I have a Beaglebone Black with a CC2531 USB dongle working very well when the dongle is directly plugged in to the BBB. However, when attaching a USB Hub to the BBB and having the dongle in the hub, the HA Gateway servers do not work (./zigbeeHAgw bbb). It complains that /dev/ttyACM0 "No such file or directory".

In either case, I can confirm that there is a /dev/ttyACM0. Is there any possibility that this can be supported, so that we can run other USB devices as well?

Thank you.

  • ZStack Linux Home GW uses /dev/ttyACM0 virtual COM port to communicate with CC2531 USB dongle. If you use a USB hub in between, you have to check what virtual COM CC2531 would be and revise /dev/ttyACM0 to the new one accordingly.
