Hi sir ,

I want to develop system ,a zigbee based light controlling from pc.I have two cc2530 zigbee modules having ZNP firmware and a cc2531 usb dongle that i programed with ZNP firmware.

the cc2531 dongle is now detecting my ztool but it is not giving back any responce,here i am attatching my screenshots.

Can you please help me to rectify this problem

Thank you for your replay,Now i can able to start the cc2531 usb dongle.

How can i know is the network formed ?

is there any graphical tool for it?

You can try to add a device into the Zigbee network you formed and use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check over the air messages to confirm it.

hi sir,

Now i connected the cc2531 usb dongle to my pc and i configured it using ztool as per interface specification doccument .

I already programed two cc2530 modules and a cc2531 usb dongle and powered up them.But i can't able to add those devices in my network .How can i do this using ztool.?Please help me

If your ZED is based on ZNP, do you follow Section 3.1 ZNP startup procedure in Z-Stack ZNP Interface Specification.pdf to start ZED?

It's the same. Do you follow Section 3.1 ZNP startup procedure in Z-Stack ZNP Interface Specification.pdf to start ZR? I don't see you do those steps for ZC too in your screen shot of ZTool.

i configured my remote device as router (also the panid channel and the logical type)by using ztool and removed it from usb port and powered up seperatly .
Then i connected another usb dongle and set it as coordinattor (also the panid channel and the logical type)by using ztool and also enabled the join ,then i started the device by ZB_START_REQUEST.
Is it the right way ?

You should start ZC and enable permit join first. Then, start ZR to join ZC. By the way, I suggest you to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check over the air message whe you do this.

when i configure the zigbee using the ZB_WRITE_CONFIGURATION command,then is it store the configuration permenantly on the chip or is it lost the configuration when i removed from the ztool?

Can you separate the log for your router? After ZR starts, you can use UTIL_GET_DEVICE_INFO to check its status.

Do you call ZDO_STARTUP_FROM_APP to either form a network (if the device is a coordinator) or join a network (if the device is a router or end device)?

yes it still both shows as coordinator
(here i am using both coordinator and router are cc2531 usb dongles,is there any problem with this?)

I don't try to use GPIO through ZNP but it say you can use SYS_GPIO to control 4 GPIOs in Z-Stack Monitor and Test API.pdf.
