Hello All,

I am using CC2650 to develop Zigbee end device application. I would like to know which is the best way to test my end device application.

- I have gone through one USB stick (Telegesis ETRX3USB) . It works based on AT commands ( I need to look into how to automate the testing)

Give your suggestion/ideas

I would suggest you use CC2538DK or CC2530DK to act as coordinator. There are lot of HA profile examples in Z-Stack Home 1.2.2 that can help you to understand more about Zigbee.

Hi YiKai Chen,
Thanks for your reply. I will go through the documents about CC2538DK/CC2530 DK.

It would be nice to automate the testing process , if there is any Zigbee USB dongle(Coordinator) which is controlled by some scripting language. I believe Telegesis ETRX3USB is kind of it.

Suggest your idea about this.

Another alternative is to run Ztool +CC2531 USB dongle with ZNP. You can refer to Z-Stack ZNP Interface Specification.pdf.

hi yikai

what is ZNP and it is required for establishing a zigbee network. Should I flash the ZNP code into cc2650 first to start a zigbee network. I have several cc2650 sensor tags. But I have no development or evaluation boards. There are lot of hex files in ZNP folder. If I flash the cc2650 with coordinator hex file will it work like a coordinator and then can I use another cc2650 as a end device.

Prebuid CC2650 ZNP images are for SmartRF06 and CC2650EM. If you want to run ZNP on CC2650 SensorTag, I think you have to change UART pins in ZNP source code and rebuild it. I would suggest you to buy a CC2531EMK which run ZNP on it. You can refer to www.ti.com/.../CC2531EM-IOT-HOME-GATEWAY-RD. You also need to buy CC Debugger to download FW to CC2531 if you choose this solution.
