Route request; Route reply broadcast when a parent node is removed causes network instability

Expert 1985 points

Hi All,

If a parent node is removed from the network  ( with management leave request ), the child node is joining back in the network. A new connection is formed by initiating Route request and Route reply form coordinator as well as node side. This is taking around 60-120 seconds.

But once the parent is removed, network is getting flooded with route request and route reply form gateway as well as node side even after the child node joins back in the network. This heavy traffic makes the network highly unstable. That is when ever these broadcast happens nodes in the network keeps on going offline and online.

Node removal with out affecting other nodes in the network is not possible as of now.

We would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks & Regards,
