In our ZigBee tests, we notice that a rejoin process (Beacon Req, Beacon, Rejoin etc) has approx 30% less distance than normal messages (device paired and transmitting on a given PAN).
For example, in open field, we have succesful transmission at 100m. Once connection is lost, and device searches to rejoin using Beacon exchange and Rejoin command, the distance must be reduced to 70m for it to suceed.
Is there any explanation why this should be the case?
Thanks Philipp
