Hi,

Ocasionally, whenever I try to start the network, I get following error:

rpcSendFrame: SRSP Error - CMD0: 0x21 CMD1: 0x09
network start failed
Network Error

Some times the zigbee networks starts well. But, I want to completely eliminate this error.

What could be the reason?

I want it to run on ZNP host framework. When i'm running inbuilt examples datasendrecv, servdisc etc. ocasionally i'm getting this error.

Hi, Currently i'm running it on Ubuntu PC. Whenever, i'm experiencing the error, i'm restarting the system. That is the only solution I could find for now.

It seems that you are doing SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE and it returns failure.

I'm using CC251 USB dongle and CC2531 ZNP pro in it.

It supposes to work on CC2531 USB dongle. However, I would suggest you to test it using CC2538EM with prebuilt image if it is possible.

Hi,

dataSendRcv example writes to NV memory. That portion can be commented out after the initial write, which avoids this error.

don't know what causes the error. But there are following NV writes in the example:
ZCD_NV_STARTUP_OPTION
ZCD_NV_LOGICAL_TYPE
ZCD_NV_PANID
ZCD_NV_CHANLIST
ZCD_NV_ZDO_DIRECT_CB

I suggest you can set breakpoint in MT SYS_OSAL_NV_WRITE of ZNP to debug it.

"rpcSendFrame: SRSP Error - CMD0: 0x21 CMD1: 0x09" is due to osal nv write

However, I'm also getting following error while running znp-host-framework:

rpcSendFrame: SRSP Error - CMD0: 0x25 CMD1: 0x40

rpcSendFrame: SRSP Error - CMD0: 0x24 CMD1: 0x01

How to totally avoid program getting crashed due to these errors?

I'm using dataSendRcv application and default nv writes in it.
for e.g:
OsalNvWriteFormat_t nvWrite;

// sending startup option
nvWrite.Id = ZCD_NV_STARTUP_OPTION;
nvWrite.Offset = 0;
nvWrite.Len = 1;
nvWrite.Value[0] = startupOption;
status = sysOsalNvWrite(&nvWrite);

but, it is failing for reasons other than nv write also!

Can it be because of low timeout value:
#define SRSP_TIMEOUT_MS (2000) // 2000ms timeout

as znp-host-framework is designed for CC2538 which is a faster device!

Also, how to increase baud rate in znp-host-frame work to 115200bps?

I don't think this is related to timeout. If you run the same command from ZTOOL, do you see the same error?

No error is coming in z-tool. Is it possible to use z-tool dlls in the program?

If it works on ZTOOL, you should debug why it doesn't work from ZNP host framework.

Hi,

Even with z-tool, whenever I replug the USB stick and click "Scan for Devices", it takes 1 minute for the z-tool to detect the connected znp device. I think the same thing is happening with znp-host-framework.

can you please let me know whether is it the same behavior with z-tool at your end or is it detected instantaneously?

If the virtual com port is emulate, it usually won't take up to 1 minute.

I'm using the default COM port that appears in windows or linux system. How to make it 'emulate'?

I mean I would wait USB dongle to show up on device manager after I plugin the dongle to PC. Then, I do scan for devices on Ztool and it only takes about 3 to 5 seconds to detect the dongle.

In my case even after COM11 appears in device manager (or /dev/ttyACM0 on linux), it still takes some time to respond to messages. Is it required to update any drivers?

Check if you have many COM ports enabled in Serial device page.

I only have a single COM port. And as can be seen, it is not appearing in Scan list even though it is detected by system. It becomes active only after 1 minute.

I'm not running windows on virtual machine. In fact, I tested this behaviour on multiple windows and linux machines and in every case I need to wait for some time after hard reset to start data transmission.

It seems that we cannot do anything to this. You can only wait until it is ready by scanning the device.
