I want to know that what is the use of MT Layer in z-stack home.

If you run CC253x/CC26xx in SoC mode and doesn't have to communicate with another host MCU, you don't need MT layer.

I am using cc2530 in soc mode.hence I am not using MT layer.
how can I remove the MT layer?
I am asking because I want to reduce z-stack size.

Yes, you can remove it if you don't use it.

Just remove define of MT_XXX in compile options.

I have removed these flags from preprocessor option before compiling-

xMT_TASK
xMT_APP_FUNC
xMT_SYS_FUNC
xMT_ZDO_FUNC

I am getting error as given below

Error[e104]: Failed to fit all segments into specified ranges. Problem discovered in segment XDATA_N. Unable to place 2 block(s) (0xc02 byte(s) total) in 0xa90
byte(s) of memory. The problem occurred while processing the segment placement command "-P(XDATA)XDATA_N=_XDATA_START-_XDATA_END", where at
the moment of placement the available memory ranges were "XDATA:1470-1eff"

z-stack home 1.2.1 ,sample light example in router configuration
and cc2530EM with smartRF board.

You have to disable ZTOOL_P1 to fix this issue.
