Is there any way to make CCA always true when using TIMAC?

Try setting CCA_CTRL1.CCA=00. This should give alway clear channel.

Because I did not see mode setting declared anywhere nor can I find it in the data sheet.

I think you meant the MDMCTRL0L.CCA_MODE?

When I set MODE to 00, the device will not associate with the coordinator. Why?

Sorry, I was looking at the cc2530 datasheet. On the cc2430 setting CCA_MODE to 00 will never give you clear channel, which is opposite of what you want. And this explains why you can't associate with the coordinator.

An alternative trick you could try is to set RSSIH.CCA_THR = 0x7F and CCA_MODE = 01.

Since you are using TIMAC I am assuming that you have the configuration files for the Battery Board

$ \TIMAC-CC2430-1.3.0 \ Components \hal \target \ <Target Board e.g. CC2430BB>

I only have for CC2430BB and CC2430DB can you please send me the ones for the battery board :o)
