Hi All

there is a question about the CC2530 power consumption.

we made a private board which SCH is like below：

and there is always a peripheral circuit which is designed for detect the the vibration。

the first time we power on the device ，it seems OK that it only cost 10uA ， but when it keeps power for longtime（maybe 5~6 minutes later ）

it cost 200uA ~~~

Although the CC2530 is set in the PM3。

and i have do a test to make sure the power consumption of the peripheral circuit is OK。

nomatter how long does it run， it just cost 8~9 uA, and it is stable。

but i don't know what would cause the leakage current happen ?

Your descriptions are erratic. Do you think there is problem to see your device cost 200uA after 5~6 minutes later or you think there is something wrong to see your device cost 8~9 uA?

I mean that the power consumption of the peripheral circuit cost 8~9uA （ without CC2530 module ）

so maybe that is the problem of the CC2530 module.

Ps: the peripheral circuit connect the CC2530 module only with the P04
P04 is set input mode .

When those two part connected ， it is the final complete product.

and now i found that it was OK at the first while power on， but it cost rising upto 200uA sometime later(maybe 5~6 minute)

Try to disconnect your SPI pins and DP/DM pins to see if there is improvement.

there is only P04 connect the vibration detect circuit ， other Pins were without any connected！

Do you try to disconnect P04 and check the result?

i remove All of the CC2530 module ， only the the peripheral circuit just cost 8~9uA and it is stable.

I mean I suggest you to disconnect CC2530 and vibration detect circuit to run the test again.

Hi,

Look in the code for pins that remained not configured. Floating input may sink this amount of current.

unused pins was set as Tristates！

only the P04 set as input interrupt mode！

and P05 was set as ADC input to check the battery

You already set all pins to tristate and I think it is no problem. Do you disconnect CC2530 and vibration detect circuit to run the test again?

Are the unused pins physically connected to somewhere?
If not, configure it as output high, or low, and test again.

i disconnect all the peripheral circuit of the CC2530 module.

there is the setting of the unused pins in the end of the APP initial function.

but it seems not work ， i saw that that the ammeter showing is dynamic

0.3uA ====> 221 UA =====> 0.3uA....

the changing cycle is 1s

there is not any event in the test code ！

i have always set the Poll RATE as 0

could you please share me the test code ， which could set the device into PM3 and don‘t do anything。

so i could check whether is that the problem the hardware or not ！

Hi which header file did you used?

what is the define of PM3 ,OSC32K, CLKSPD_32M?

and if there is a PA .

Use #include <iocc2530.h>. You don't need to control PA since CC2530 goes to PM3.

The Unused pin must be set as output .

The input tristates will casue the amount of current!!!
