CCS Error- The controller has detected a target power loss

Check if your CC2650 is well powered.

Well, like I mentioned, even after powering the device, I am getting the same error.

Infact, the JTAG VDD is supposed to power the device while connected.

Try not to use jTag VDD.

I cannot, as I am programming through JTAG connector... I am not sure what you mean by try not using JTAG VDD..

Can your CC2650 only powered by JTag? There should be other power source when you run CC2650 without debugger so I mean to give VDD with that power.

What is your XDS100v3? Is it SmartRF06?

no, I have not used Smart RF, I purchased the following de-bugger from olimex

If you use Flash Programmer 2, does it recognize your XDS100v3 and CC2650?

I am not sure how to use flash programmer 2 on CCS6.1.2, pl guide me.

Download and install flash programmer 2 from www.ti.com/.../flash-programmer. Then, connect XDS100v3 with CC2650 to your desktop and start flash programmer 2 to see if it recognizes your XDS100v3 and CC2650.

I suspect the connection between your XDS100v3 and CC2650 is not good. You should check if TVD, GND,TMS, TCK, and RST are well connected.

No, forget my test board, It is not detecting the sensor tag board, could there be any other reason.

Hi,

Going back to your original post. Error -180 typically arises if your target's supply voltage is not connected to the XDS100v3's V_Tref signal. As YiKai Chen said, double check the connection between your debugger and target.

As you mentioned, there was a certain hardware problem and I have fixed the same and now my device is detecting. Thanks for the tip.

I have been able to dump example codes like pininterrupt and I2Ctmp without any issues through CCS, but when I try to flash the UARTecho code I am getting the following response.

Error connecting to the target: (Error -230 @ 0x0) The measured lengths of the JTAG IR and DR scan-paths are invalid. This indicates that an error exists in the link-delay or scan-path. (Emulation package 6.0.83.1)

what is the reason for this error?, I have even tried flashing code on sensor tag board, I am getting the same error.

Since you already can download I2Ctmp example using CCS, it should be the same to UARTecho. If you still have problem, I suggest you to check JTag connection or restart your PC.
