z-stack linux gateway demo application

There's no EZ-Mode implementation on Z-Stack Linux Home GW. You can only use binding instead of EZ-Mode.

Since Z-Stack Linux Home GW knows short address and active endpoint of joined device, there is no need to do binding.

OK, I understand that without binding ZC can send data via short addr of ZED.
In my test scenario, is the ZC gateway act as Switch ?
So If I want to bind between ZC and ZED, is it correct process for binding as shown below ?

1, Move to Device section to select ZC and do a bind action with "D" input
- ZC Device will turn to green color, and log section will show "Binding source selected"
2, Still in Device section to select ZED and do a bind action with "D" input
- ZC Device will turn back to red color, and log section will show like below

Seems that above phenomenon not same with pdf doc of gateway user guide.

That's for device that want to report something to GW. For example, you can do binding with temperature sensor to make it report temperature to GW.

At this moment, binding is not import for me.

One more problem is about group setting.
Now I have one ZC Gateway and two ZED light,
I grouped two ZED into Group 0 using gateway user interface.
After group finished, I change cast mode from unicast to groupcast.
And then send on/off command to Group 0, but there is no light status changing.

How can I verify Group information I made ?
I am not sure I make correct group setting. plz help

The easiest way is still to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check it. I strongly suggest you to buy another CC2531EMK for sniffer purpose.

Plz note that, In ZED sample light project I already enable group setting.

Do you mean you already define ZCL_GROUPS in your sample light project?

You can set a breakpoint in zclGeneral_ProcessInGroupsServer of SampleLight example and check if it is hit when Z-Stack Linux GW sends add group command.

Sample Light is set as ZED end device.
In my case, there are no router in network.
ZC (Gateway) + 2 ZED

Change them to ZR instead of ZED. ZED might miss group cast command.

If it is a RX always on ZED, it would be able to receive group cast messages.

You can add "RFD_RCVC_ALWAYS_ON=TRUE" in the "Preprocessor" tab of "C/C ++ compiler" in project options to make your ZED RX always under on status. In this way, ZED can receive group cast messages since its receiver always is on.

But unfortunately,, ZED cannot receive group cast from ZC side, not light changing

The compile option looks OK. Try to set a breakpoint in afBuildMSGIncoming and see if it is hit when Z-Stack Linux GW sends group cast command.

It can hit afBuildMSGIncoming

So, you can trace into it and see why it doesn't pass to ZCL layer.

it can hit when ZC setting ZED into group number.
But it cannot hit afBuildMSGIncoming when ZC send group cast.

So sorry that I made you confused.
