I would like to how to upgrade firmware for CC2650 launchpad for Contiki 6lowpan support. I have seen launchpad by default comes with a BLE firmware, I need to change this to 6lowpan firmware.

What all the softwares / hardwares apart from CC2650 launchpad required for the above firmware upgrade. I have seen many places SRF06 - CC2650 EM. What is the difference between this SRF06 - CC2650 EM Kit and CC2650 launchpad

Also I would like to how the CC2650 launchpad can be used as a slip radio for Linux based Single Board Computers like BBB/RPi. What would be hardware connection between CC2650 launchpad and the Linux based SBC.

1. You can use Flash Programmer 2 to download FW to CC2650 Lauchpad.
2. CC2650DK has peripheral sensor such as luminance sensor and motion sensor and LCD on it but Launchpad doesn't.
3. You can refer to sunmaysky.blogspot.tw/.../how-to-build-contiki-6lbr-slip-radio-on.html and build slip radio for SmarRF06-CC2640EM. Then, download slip-radio.bin to CC2650 Launchpad and connect it to BBB or Raspberry Pi. Remember to set "DEV_RADIO=/dev/ttyACM0" in 6lbr.conf.

Thanks Chen , so you mean to say, we can directly connect the USB Cable coming along the launchpad withe BBB or Raspberry Pi to make a 6lowpan Gateway with CC2650 Launchpad as a slip radio. I'm I correct

If I want to use launchpad as slip-radio then I don't need to make changes in step 1, just call make with BOARD=launchpad/cc2650 am I right?

1. Yes, you should call make from contiki\examples\ipv6\slip-radio
2. Yes, you can just call make with BOARD=launchpad/cc2650
3. I do it when I use LAUNCHXL-CC2650 as slip radio. You can try not to do it to see if it works.
