indoor - networking requirements - is it feasible?

Hi All,

could you help me in understanding if the ZigBee technology can help me in arranging an in-vehicle networking for sensor tags tracking and detection?

Basically, the network should works as a big-eye that understand and continuously collects the ID of the tagged units reporting their presence/absence in time.

in case this wireless tehcnology is not the best option to use, could you please give me some suggestions where to look at?

Could BLE sensor(s) in the vehicle, in combination with BLE beacons on the tagged units be an alternative? The sensor(s) would report which beacons that are presence. Vice-versa could be achieved as well - beacon(s) in the vehicle and the tagged units have BLE sensors and report/make an own assessment.
Search for BLE beacons as presence sensor or something similar and you should be able to create your own impression of it.

I agree with Fredrik that BLE should be more suitable than Zigbee for this application.
