how to change attributes of end device using znp host framework.

since znp host framework doesnt contain zcl libraries integrated with it how we can able to send commands to the end device to set or get its data like on/off.

i have a linux pc running znp framework as a host and cc2538 with installed znp hex image.i am creating a home automation environment where i need to use linux pc as host processor and cc2538 as coordinator which in turn control the end devices.the problem here is z-stack only support for beagle bone board but not linux pc so i am using znp.

Using ZNP, you have to use AF_DataRequest to send ZCL command by yourself.

ZCL command means we have to create a frame format of that on/off cluster and send via payload of af_data_request ?

hi

i discovered the philips hue bulb from cc2538em using service discovery program. but once i kill that program and run the other program (nwtopology.bin) it is not reconnecting to this new network ,same pan id (0x3333) i have used in both the programs, again i have to reset the bulb to discover it,but once the program is killed i am unable to discover it by other program with same pan id. tried even switching off the bulb.please reply

hi i got new philips bulb and i resetted it using remote. now from pc i run the default sample code service discovery program than i can able to get the bulb cluster id and all.. once i killed that program and tried other program i am unable to discover by bulb in child list. in every program i have used 0x3333 as pan id.

servicediscovery program in znp.. the program show the simple description whenever device joins the network.. so for the first time i resetted the bulb and started the servicediscovery program i got the cluster list of the philips hue bulb.. now i killed that program and run the network discovery program and i saw no devices again connected to my network..

i cant able to figure out the problem.

Do you write this servicediscovery program and network discovery program by yourself? Anyway, I suggest you to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check over the air messages.

its sample codes given with znp framwework.. ok i will try to analyze it. every time i am starting new program a new network connection got established may be because of that i think bulb is not joining to the new discovery. on what basis hue bulb is connecting to the cc2538em is it based on pan id or some other critieria is there ?

ZNP framework doesn't run any Zigbee profile so that might be the problem.

If you license full source code from TI, you should be able to build binary for all Linux Platform by yourself.

Philips hue bulb has light link profile.. do we need to provide some link keys to make it as home automation profile ?? Please help me.. i am new to this

You have to do a factory reset to Hue bulb. When the bulb is factory new, it would stay in HA profile a while and send beacon requests to join HA network first.

i have resetted the bulb with remote.. but when it got connected to my coordinator the profile id it is showing is of light link profile. If in the case it is the light link profile by using znp framework cant we send commands to it since znp doesnt supports any profile ?

I am not sure if Hue bulbs use ZLL profile ID in its simple descriptor. Anyway, it joins your HA profile network, right?

The profile is controlled by ZAP. What is your ZAP?

What do you run on Linux PC? ZNP doesn't have profile but your ZAP should have.

i have downloaded the znp host framework from
git.ti.com/.../znp-host-framework

and installed that hex file to my cc2538 using rf installer.. after that i am using the sample codes given by znp host framework. using usb i have connected my cc2538em to Linux pc. in pc i am running my sample codes.

I want to create a home automation environment i want my pc to be connected with cc2538em, can u please explain me which framework i have to use, i am more confused now.

This ZNP framework doesn't run HA profile so I suspect Hue really joins your coordinator. Can you use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to do sniff and attach the log?

i have used packet sniffer and usb dongle cc2531 and i can able to see the bulb joining the coordinator. i got network adress too.

If you don't have to use Linux environment, you can use ZTool to create HA network, which you can refer to sunmaysky.blogspot.tw/.../setup-zigbee-ha-coordinator-with-ti.html

I only see active endpoint request and response in your sniffer log. There is no simple descriptor request.
