Hi,

We are trying to write our own application codes by using cc2530 znp -mt commands. Even if there are complicated power saving codes in TI's ZAP examples , is it possible to make it easier by MT commands?

For example ,can we force end-device sleep or wake up ,or change the power mode from coordinator by usnig MT commands? If it is possible how?

As I know, there is no such capability using MT command.

So, i try to change the poll rate of the end device by sending ZCD_NV_POLL_RATE(0x0024) to CC2530znp but after writing a configuration, it returns status error(0x01)..

All other write and read nv configurations returns success but ZCD_NV_POLL_RATE returns error.

(I'm compiling Z-Stack Home 1.2.2a.44539\Projects\zstack\ZNP\CC253x for znp hex. and sending commands from another microcontroller
by SPI)

0x0024 is deprecated when poll rate changed from 16 to 32 bits in Z-Stack Home 1.2.2a. You should use 0x0035 as ZCD_NV_POLL_RATE ID.

TI's documentation is poor and there is no document for this. It's in ZComDef.h of source code.

I changed the poll rate now but even if poll rate is changed , end device is still sending beacon-request frequently on packet sniffer.
So i decided to change the other poll rate values from znp.hex.. I realized that when i change REJOIN_POLL_RATE which is default 440ms , end device beacon request has also changed. So it means that my end-device is sending rejoin request to coordinator..

But when debugging, i can proof that these two devices join successfully and send msgs to each-other( unicast). But at the same time , on packet sniffer end device frequently sends REJOIN_REQUEST . How is it possible? Devices join , but end device keeps on sending rejoin_request?

Beacon request interval is controlled by BEACON_REQUEST_DELAY which is defined in f8wconfig.cfg.

I solved "rejoin request" problem by changing start up option to automatic.Before it was clear state+clear config.

But still i am not able to change the poll rate by znp commands..Even if write configuration success(0x0035) and read configuration returns the new assigned value, in packet sniffer poll rate is the default value inside the f8 config.

So we are not able to change poll rate by MT commands.. ZCD_NV_POLL_RATE doesn't work..

After you change polling rate by overwrite NV, I think you have to restart ZNP to make it work.

Yes after resetting other settings change but poll rate doesn't

You can try to trace and debug ZNP code to see why it doesn't apply.
