How to replace the Zigbee network coordinator?

If a network has been formed, how to replace the original coordinator?

I trie dto do this,But failed。
The new coordinator, with the same PANID, can not be added to the original network, but created a network, Which PANID was the original network PANID +1。

how to make a new coordinator to join the original network?

  • I don't think you can. The coordinator that you want to add has to create its own network, and then all the devices have to leave the old network and join the new one.

The quick & dirty way to do this is to kill the first one and have the new coordinator come up. Routers etc. will join the new network.

Could also have the old coordinator send leave messages to all the devices attached to it.

  • Hi,

It's possible and there's a thread concerning it here. It's named "cloning a coordinator" or something similar .
