question about zigbee membership and zigbee compatible test

Dear Sir,

We are using TI CC2530 for our Zigbee controllable device, and using TI-Zigbee stack. As TI already a member of Zigbee and I believe TI had done the Zigbee compatible Testing. The question is do we need to join Zigbee membership before we selling our Zigbee compatible device in the market? And do we need to take the zigbee compatible testing?

You don't have to be Zigbee alliance member to use TI Z-Stack. However, if you want to do Zigbee certification, you have to join Zigbee alliance.

You mean if we want to commercialize our Zigbee product, then we need to do Zigbee certification and to join Zigbee alliance?

No, it's not necessary to join Zigbee alliance to do certification for you your product. Unless, you want to have Zigbee logo on it and claim you compliant to for example HA profile.

Thanks for your time. Now I understand that we can't print Zigbee Trademark on our product, unless we join Zigbee alliance. How about the word "Zigbee", can we print it on our product,thanks.

It should be no problem to print Zigbee on your product.
