Mesh Network with GenericApp: Binding is necessary?

Hi everyone,

I'm creating the mesh network for collecting data from portable ZED, ZED will send data to ZC every 5mins or receive request from ZC. I found the z-stack Mesh supports for hundreds nodes. Can you help me clear some questions as below:

1) When using GenericApp, ZC-ZR-ZED will form network automatically?

2) If nodes are not bound, ZC can send data to ZED and vice versa?

3) When ZED is out of range ZR, it will join potential ZR?

4) I'm intend using USB dongle CC2531 as ZC with ZNP FW, Is it OK?

I don't think this is about binding. What is your FarmMan_CLUSTERID value?

It's 1 and define in header file. It's same to genericApp, I dont change its value.
#define FarmMan_CLUSTERID 1

That's strange. You can try to set a breakpoint at "afIncomingData()" in AF.c to debug it.

It hit to afBuildMSGIncoming and jump to ZDApp_ProcessOSALMsg. What's strange here? You mean the message must be sent to FarmMan_ProcessEvent?

I mean "Hello World" is received in AF -> ZDApp after that must be sent to GenericApp_ProcessEvent -> GenericApp_MessageMSGCB but not.

When it hit afBuildMSGIncoming, try to check cluster ID. See if you can receive cluster ID = 1 in afBuildMSGIncoming.

No, it only hit when Cluster ID = 19. I dont see cluster ID = 1. I think the message is not received.

Can you redo Ubiqua sniff to see if ZED sends "Hello world"?

I see the destination endpoint is set to 0. You should use 1.
