Hello guys!

I've just started to test my SmartRF05, with cc2530 and the Z-Stack protocol. For now I am using the GenericApp (at Z-stack MESH) to get along with it.

For my next application I intend to blink some Routers Leds after my Coodinator commands, and send my current Led state to the coordinator. My doubt is, if I have several routers and I want to now only the 7th router (for example) led state how should I know its address? What command should my coodinator send in order to get just it? How my router would send the data to the coordinator?

When a device joins Zigbee network, it would broadcast end node announcement with its short and IEEE address. You can register a callback event to trace it and store the short and IEEE address of joined router in your application for sending message to it later. For sending message to coordinator, the short address of coordinator is fixed to 0x0000. You can use 0x0000 as destination short address to send message to coordinator.

Hello YK Chen,

First of all thank you for your answer. I do understand how a node can send a message to the coordinator, but how exactly I can register a callback event to trace it? Should I record that as a matrix? For example (key, shortAddr)? Where does my coordinator receives the router's shortAddr?
