Hello,

I have a SmartRF05EB with a CC2530EM, I was programming it through USB and everything worked fine.

I decided to connect a CC Debugger to it and program through the CC Debugger and it worked. But now the board won't start, it won't be recognized via USB, and not even the CC Debugger will recognize it. Not even without the EM.

I think I might have overwritten the bootloader. I tried joining pin 17 and 19 to see if the bootloader was working but nothing.

Now I try to flash the bootloader using SmartRF Flash Programmer but the board is not even recognized by the CC Debugger (i.e. I get a red light on the debugger).

Is it gone for good?

Hi Raul,

In Flash Programmer, if you select "Program Evaluation Board" from the top drop down menu, does your board show up on the list here and are you able to update the firmware?

Also, you have the option of flashing the EB application through serial here if you have a USB to Serial cable instead of flashing it through USB.

Can you attach a snap shot to show how you connect CC Debugger to CC2530EM?

And it is connected as in the drawing with the cable from the debugger to P2, Red light on the debugger.

So its two USB cables "PC < - > SmartRf05" (For Energy) and "PC < - > CCDebugger < - > P2 on SmartRf05" (for programming)

It wont show the board if y go to EB Application, it will show the debugger connected but it will say "No Chip" and will not allow me to program anything.
Unfortunately I do not have a serial at the moment.

Since you have SmartRF05EB, why don't you use it to program CC2530EM directly?

I connect two USB cables "PC < - > SmartRf05" (For Energy) and "PC < - > CCDebugger < - > P2 on SmartRf05" (for programming) as you described and Flash Programmer can detect CC2530EM from both CC Debugger and SmartRF05EB.
