Hello,

I'm trying to create a mesh network with some cc2650 working in pairs, my hardware connects two cc2650 using the serial port, and one of them scans for bluetooth devices and the other will send the detections throuhg a mesh network, that's the goal.

On the contiki website, they say that "This port is only meant to work with 7x7mm chips", since I'm using the 5x5 one in my custom hardware, will this be a problem?

It's no problem to run Contiki on 5x5 package but you have to revise board file according to your pin usage.

I'm sorry to revive this old thread, but I was wondering what about the RF configuration? With the BLE stack, the board files also included the board type which defined the RF layout (single, differential, etc.) but I didn't see something like this in Contiki's board files. Will I get lower RF performance if I flash it on a CC2650MODA, for example?

What do you mean get lower RF performance? Which case are you compared with.

This may be complete nonsense as I have about zero knowledge in RF (hence I use modules such as the CC2650MODA), but I did notice in the BLE stack that each board has some define to configure the RF front-end.
For example, the BOOSTXL defines CC2650M5A, the CC2650DK_7ID defines CC2650EM_7ID.
As far as I can tell, these are later used in ble_user.config.c to set up the TX power values and BLE overrides. Will running Contiki (meant for 7x7 devices) work as expected on the CC2650MODA (5x5) or will I also need to tweak these RF values somewhere in addition to the pins in the board file?

Those are for different IO settings and not related to RF performance.
