In Detail explanation and How to set ZED using Z Tool command

1. I have XBee-S2C module from Digi international whose setting as below screen shot (support HA profile)

We have created ZC device using Xbee module- it scan the network for ZED, but how to set ZED

Now we wanted to connect ZED CC2560EM + SmartRF06EB to Xbee S2C ZC module

pls. let me know how to set ZED device using ZTool2.0

Where to set and what to set? which commands list ?

UTIL_SET_PANID?

UTIL_SET_CHANNELs? or other commands

I am hardware design engineer

so please give me direct command list which i will use to set into CC2560EM using Z Tool

Using Z Tool how to set and which command to be used for setting pAN ID, Destination add , Channel so that ZED will connect to coordinator

Coordinator PAN is 1900 and Channel is -B

You can issue the following commands in red to set end device to connect to coordinator.

    Channels: CHNL_0x00002000 (0x2000) --> 0x00002000 means channel 13. If you use other channel on ZC, you have to set it accordingly.

What is Id here in above command-

Is it end device ID or destination device ID or PAN ID?

for 11 number channel, what is the channel in Z tool -

On XCTU console window, I observed the end device CC2650 showing connected to coordinator

But I can not initialize the command or data sending mode,

Exactly what profile related data should be matched in Coordinator side and End device side? (ex. PAN ID, Channel and what etc..)

1. It's NV ID. 0x87 is the NV ID to assign Zigbee device type.
2. If you mean to use channel 11, the channel mask is 0x00000800.

I tried to set ID 0x87 but, it automatically set to 0x57

Pls. see the screenshot above

also pls. reply to my earlier questions like. where to set PAN ID, Channel , destination Address and frequency

You should use mouse right click to change it to hex format first.

PANID, channel, ... are assigned by coordinator.

in Z Tool window after ZDO APP startup command

RX command is continulsy coming and showing invalid parameter

<RX> time COM9 ZDO_STATE_CHNAGE IND_ (0X45C0)
State- INVALID PARAMETER(0X2)

above message appearing continuosly

DO we need to send AT command from coordinator to end device setting? as you said before, coordinator set PAN ID and channel

End device showing unknown status ? in the screenshot

I don't think you have to send AT command from coordinator to end device setting.

I just send ZDO_STARTUP_FROM_APP command

in Mode- 0 set and clicked on send message

after that above message appearing continuously

Yes, i have send red marked command as per mentioned
channel set 0X0000800- i.e. 11 channel

PAN ID not set and in ZED , as you said coordinator will set it

I don't know why your end device is grayed in your XCTU tool. I suggest you to use Ubiqua Packet Analyzer to check what happens over the air.

Yes, but before that i just want to confrim again

without setting PAN ID , Channel and Destination ID , IS it possibleconnection between ZED to ZC

ZED device - Zigbee function discovered by ZC , but what about the binding command, destination ID and TX / RX request command

ok, if binding done, what data/ command from ZED to ZC need be send?

You have to use AF_REGISTER to register endpoint information from ZTool then ZED and ZC can do binding to send command.

End device (CC2650) and Coordinator (Xbee- S2C HA profile supported) connected successfully

End device send data request to Coordinator but ZC not replied to ZED

ZC announce the ZED device, ACK frame and data request happening but no further communication , i want to see ZCl payload data

Pls reply ASAP

Data request means ZED does polling to its parent node and there is MAC ack from ZC in your sniffer log. I see no problem on this.

but where is the payload data frame?

I could not recognize the final data frame in the Ubiquo packet logs

LQI status is unknown at ZED side in XCTU console

ZED sent all requested data to ZC , but one of the frame is missing

that i dont know which frame ?

I could not see data payload frame?

i have another CC2538 as a coordinator which works fine with CC2650, i got 65 ZCL payload frame

I can not idetifiy actual data frame

BTW i dont know what all are frames exchanged between ZC and ZED

As a board designer, i am not aware about the all frame list

so my question is

1. Which is the data frame in above latest logs
2. All communication frame list, pls share few of them
3. How to agreed that ZC and ZED completed their all communication (i.e. one interval / slot time)

Since CC2650 ZED joins coordinator, sends Device Announce, and keep doing data request, I would say it joins coordinator correctly. This means coordinator and ZED can communicate to each other now. The problem is that what your XBee coordinator want to communicate with ZED.
