Looks like doing a restart does not always fix it. The only way I can make it work again is by uninstalling and reinstalling the whole thing.

Is there a way to access older versions of SmartRF Studio? V2.5.0 would be a good starting point, but having access to two sub versions back would be of great help.

I don't see any similar issue when I use v2.5.1. Do you try it in another desktop?

Thanks YiKai, we have tried a different PC with a different OS, and we get the same problem. (first PC: i7 Lenovo E530 Win7, second PC: i5 Lenovo G580 Win8.x)

Is there no way to access older versions? Even in the 1.x range? I see that v1.16 +  has the CC2592 feature that we need. We would highly appreciate it if it could be made available, as we are busy with critical RF tests. If you're not able to assist with this, could you point me to someone?
