CC2538EMK: Foundation Firmware SSI and UART examples not working

Greetings,

I tried to run the SSI (SPI master) example in CC2538 Foundation Firmware (located in : swrc271a.zip\cc2538_foundation_firmware_1_0_1_0\driverlib\cc2538\examples\ssi) but it did not work properly. Nothing appears on the LCD of SmartRF06.

The same happened when I tried to run the UART example, nothing on the LCD!

The LCD runs fine when I load the PER test, so it must be a code problem.

Any ideas?

As I know, those examples don't output anything in LCD.

If it does not output to LCD, what is this UART initialization and "printf" in the SSI example?

It output information to UART port.

Yes, I'm sure of that :) I mean what is the "console" that is connected to UART ??

Console is the output panel of terminal tool such as teraterm.

And where should I find it in IAR?

It is not in IAR, you will need to use an external terminal emulator program like TeraTerm or Termite.

When you connect SmartRF06 to your PC, it would simulate a virtual COM port. You can open this COM port with Terminal application like teraterm to get UART output.
