 Dear sir,

I want to use TI parts to Home automation control.can I use CC2531F128, CC2531F256 or  Is there any latest parts and evaluation board.Kindly suggest TI parts and evaluation kit.

CC2531F128, CC2531F256 can support Tag evalution (to add other companies sensors)

Below is the application details.

1.Lighting control.

2. Door sensor control and FAN.

Thank you,

  • For CC2531 evaluation kit, you can use CC2531EMK.
  • Hi,

The CC2530 and CC2531 parts are almost the same, the difference being the integrated USB interface on the CC2531. For prototyping, it would be easier to use the SmartRF05 + CC2530EM since there are sample applications in Z-Stack that support this development kit.
  • Dear sir,

Please find the below my questions.

    1. Whether this SoC supports the Zigbee 3.0 stack which supports HA1.2 stack?

    2. If I buy this USB dongle whether TI will give all the stack development details for this?

    3. What is the price of this? and what is the delivery lead time?

    4. Using this chip can we add/trace/remove any chip sensor or lighting device?. Using this chip can I add Marvell 88MZ100/88MZ300 devices like motion sensor/door sensor. Either the status of the sensor/battery status of the devices can be obtained right?

    Thank you,

    Best regards,

    Muthu

  • 1. Yes, both Z-Stack 3.0 and HA 1.2 can run on CC2531.
    2. There is no dedicated example for CC2531. The examples of Z-Stack is dedicated for CC2530DK and CC2538DK. You might need to modify example code to make it run on CC2531EMK.
    3. You can buy it from www.ti.com/.../cc2531emk but I don't know exactly delivery lead time. It usually takes 1 or 2 weeks.
    4. I couldn't understand this question well. Can you elaborate?
